Emergency repairs in 24-48 hours. We understand downtime costs you money.
Emergency CNC machining repair completed in 24 hours at Seattle machine shop

When your production line is down or you're facing a tight deadline, every hour counts. Washington Machine Works is a Seattle machine shop that has built our reputation on responsive service and realistic lead times.

TYPICAL LEAD TIMES

Emergency Repairs: 24-48 hours

When equipment fails, we prioritize getting you back online. We've machined emergency repair parts overnight when customers needed them to avoid extended shutdowns. Call us first thing in the morning, and we'll assess how quickly we can help.

Standard Machining Jobs: 3 weeks or less

Most one-off parts and small production runs are completed within three weeks of receiving material and drawings. This includes programming, setup, machining, and inspection.

Complex or Large Parts: Let's talk

Parts requiring multiple setups, extensive machining time, or coordination with outside services (heat treating, coating, gear cutting) will take longer but we'll give you a full quote.

WHAT AFFECTS YOUR LEAD TIME

Material availability - If you provide material, we start faster. If we need to source specialty materials (Inconel, manganese, large forgings), add 3-7 days.

Current shop load - While we keep shop capacity available for rush and emergency work, we give honest assessments. If we just can't meet your lead time, we'll tell you upfront rather than promising what we can't deliver.

Complexity and size - A simple, small shaft turned on our CNC lathe? Easy. A 12-foot weldment requiring multiple operations on our horizontal boring mill? Longer.

Outside services - Heat treating, welding, gear cutting, and coatings add time. We work with reliable local Seattle-area partners and coordinate scheduling to minimize delays.

WHY WE'RE FASTER

We keep shop capacity available for rush and emergency work.

Our team averages 20+ years of machining experience. They know how to set up jobs efficiently and troubleshoot problems quickly. We don't waste time figuring things out.

With both CNC and conventional equipment, we can often choose the fastest method rather than being limited to one approach.

As a 9-person shop here in the heart of Seattle, we communicate directly. You talk to the people doing the work, not a scheduling department three layers removed from the shop floor.

SCHEDULING YOUR JOB

Call us at (206) 767-2688 to discuss your timeline. Send drawings and specifications to info@washingtonmachineworks.com. We'll review your job and give you an honest lead time estimate within 24 hours.

For emergency work, call immediately - we'll assess feasibility and prioritize accordingly.
